Spheric Panoramas Blade Night 2007
Here you find some spheric panoramas I made before the start to the Blade Night in Munich on June, 18. 2007.The event takes place every Monday evening from the end of April until the end of August in Munich starting at about 9:00 pm. When the weather is good more than 10000 inline skaters drive a course through the city that's between 13km and 20km long.

Half an hour before the Blade Night starts a 9 p.m. the girl on the stage tries to incite the inline skaters to participate at the warmup.
This looks a bit like aerobics on wheels to the music of one of Munichs many radio stations.

Only some ten minutes left to the start of the Blade Night. The women and men in the high visibility vests wearing helmets are the so called blade guards. They even have their own homepage!
During the blade night they secure street crossings, and scenes of accidents. They are organised into seven teams, and for each Blade Night there are required about 300 of them.

The BRK (German for Bavarian Red Cross) has a special team of paramedics, that participate at the Blade Nights. They are all inline skaters themselves and have first aid supplies with them.
